These trees, once they have reached maturity, are taken from the forest and split to reveal the rich, unmistakable, golden hue of Oud oil resin.

Each time this is done brings delight to workers that endear their craft. The perhaps most arduous process then begins of removing the Oud wood using primary tools. This process is painstakingly slow, ensuring each slither of Oud-rich wood is maintained. In the most rare circumstances large sections of Oud are uncovered by these master artisans.
